Douglas Green began his business with the purchase of the Forrer brother's Stukvat liquor business in Paarl's main road in 1938. Recognised as South Africa's first true negotiant wine producer, he bucked conventional wine trends and ignored regionalism in favour of quality and price. Traversing the Cape winelands seeking out first-rate vineyards and cellars, he sourced grapes and wine to blend in his top quality range of wines.

To create this fresh and deliciously vibrant, aromatic and dry wine, they cleverly harvested an early picking of Sauvignon Blanc to maximise citrus flavours and then a week later, they had a second picking of riper and more intense grapes to add tropical fruit flavours. The combined blend results in a white that is lively and finely balanced. Flinty mineral notes backed by ripe green figs and grapefruit on the palate make this a cracker of a wine.
